Right click (or Mac key + click) and choose “Remove”. Select the files and folders you want to delete. When you delete a file or folder with a link, the link will automatically disable. Free users can still recover any files deleted from their rubbish bin within 30 days by upgrading to Pro. Pro users have a retention of 180 days from the time a file or folder was deleted from the rubbish bin.
Once files or folders are deleted from your rubbish bin, your recovery window is still not closed and there will be further opportunity to recover them using MEGA Rewind (coming soon). You can also manually clear your rubbish bin. Files will automatically be removed from your rubbish bin by the rubbish bin clearing scheduler. However, the file or folder is not permanently deleted until after your recovery window.įirst, your file or folder will be moved to your rubbish bin where you can easily find and restore it. When you delete a file or folder from MEGA, it’s no longer visible in your Cloud Drive.
